Innovative Technology Transfer – ENGIE’s low NOx technology help to decrease the air pollution

Low NOx EmissionThis low NOx technology’s advantage is to improve the boiler thermal efficiency and to reduce efficiently the NOx emission at the same time, with in addition lower investment and operation costs compared to other flue gas waste heat recycling devices.

In mid-February to early March 2017, ENGIE technical team contacted the commissioning of the boiler PAVE Technology in the Capital Normal University’s Kede College which serve as the first pilot project and obtained stable and satisfying results:

  • The NOx emission monitored is 23 mg/m3, meeting the Beijing government’s highest emission standards, which is less than 30 mg/m3.
  • In the Kede case, the efficiency of our installation is in average around 103% to 104% (based on low heating value of natural gas), which is similar with heat recovery boiler system equipped with heat pump. However, with preliminary estimation, the investment cost is reduced by nearly 50%.

La centrale hydroélectrique et le barrage d'Estreito au Brésil.Belt & Road Cooperation – Going global with Chinese players

ENGIE has been since years closely collaborating with Chinese EPC and equipment suppliers in overseas’ projects. Jirau Hydropower Plant (3750 MW) in Brazil: as the Project’s shareholder, ENGIE cooperated with DEC and ENGIE Tractebel provided the full Manufacture Inspection Service for the 22 turbine generators manufactured by DEC in China for this HPP. The Jirau HPP – the largest hydropower plant in Brazil – was inaugurated on Dec. 16th, 2016.
