On November 19, 2018, the China-France Year of the Environment was officially launched by Minister Ganjie Li and State Minister Francois de Rugy.
On this occasion, Ms. Charlotte Roule, CEO of ENGIE China, was invited to share her testimony on China-France partnership in the energy sector.
Mr. François de Rugy, French Environment Minister and Mr. Ganjie Li, Chinese Environment Minister jointly launched the China-France Year of the Environment
Ms. Roule said that fighting climate change and protecting the environment as well as promoting energy transition are among the most important challenges facing the two countries. This forms the core of ENGIE strategy and China-France comprehensive strategic partnership.
ENGIE will take advantage of this specific year to act, even further, upon its commitment of contributing to China’s energy transition, jointly with its local partners.

The China-France Year of the Environment is a joint decision made by the leaders of the two countries last January during Macron’s state visit to China.
